ADVANTAGES OF Zirconium oxide

Zirconium oxide distinguishes itself by a number of useful properties. For example, it is a material with very high mechanical strength, it is a thermal insulator, and it has a similar elasticity modulus to steel. Its fine-grain structure gives it high edge strength and good sliding properties.

Zirconium oxide (ZrO2) exists in different crystal lattice and has to be stabilized with a variety of stabiliser in order to avoid the transformation to monocline crystal lattice and to get dense sintered components
