Food technology

In contact with food normally stainless steels are employed, but these materials don’t keep pace with our ceramics when it comes to wear and metal abrasion or when chemical resistance during cleaning operations is required.

These are the impressive advantages when using our ceramics in the food technology. Extrusion dies, sifters and cutters for the meat industry, spiral screws for pasta extrusion or valves in the yogurt conveyance are only some examples of application.
By the way, our electrically conductive ceramic can be detected by means of eddy current.

  • extreme wear resistance
  • outstanding chemical resistance
  • free of metal and low abrasion
  • high thermal conductivity
  • low wettability
